The Kenai Peninsula is a land where bountiful and endless summer days contrast with endless winter nights and bone-shattering cold. Alaska is a land of challenge and extremes, where survival is a function of both independence and interdependence, success of the individual intertwined with health of the tribe.
The ancient cultures flourished in this unforgiving land through ingenuity, mutual sacrifice and shared success. Settlers were innovative and resourceful or did not survive. Alaska’s pioneer physicians paddled and mushed to remote villages, embodying the Alaskan virtues of invention, resourcefulness, and community.
Through our strong support of the Kenai Outreach Foundation, KAHTNU Surgical manifests the Alaskan ethos through commitment to healthy neighbors and communities…whether a sled-dog journey or ocean afar.
