The SBA 8(a) Business Development Program provides federal agencies with a streamlined procurement pathway, including enhanced sole-source contracting opportunities available to qualifying Tribal 8(a) enterprises. Through FAR- and CFR-authorized acquisition mechanisms, Kahtnu helps Government customers accelerate acquisition timelines, reduce procurement complexity, maintain mission continuity, and maximize operational flexibility, while advancing the economic development and long-term self-sufficiency of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe.

Awards can begin with a basic Statement of Work (SOW). As a Tribal 8(a), Kahtnu's eligibility cannot be challenged, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted path to award.
Non-Protestable
Kahtnu's Tribal 8(a) status allows for sole source awards that are exempt from protest, providing a secure, efficient procurement path for urgent and emerging requirements.
$30M / $150M Awards Without J&A
Under 13 CFR 124.506(b), Contracting Officers may award contracts up to $30M for civilian agencies and $150M for DoW without justification. Higher thresholds are available with J&A approval.
